We sell primarily human hair. While this might seem more expensive, with proper care and maintenance, Human hair can last years. We also believe human hair offers the most natural look and feel, and gives versatility in styling.

To determine the right size wig for you, measure the circumference of your head from the front hairline, behind your ear, to the nape of your neck, to your other ear and then back to the front hairline. Below is a picture to aid this process.

You will need 3-4 bundles of our straight human hair or 2-3 bundles in the wavy /curly styles to get a full volume wig; you will also need a closure or frontal.  If you want fuller hair you will need more bundles of hair. 

Because our extensions are human hair, you can wash them by gathering all hair strands together in a ponytail, run under lukewarm water, lather shampoo into hair and rinse. The next step is to apply conditioner while using a wide toothcomb through your hair extensions and rinse again.  We also recommend letting your extensions air dry by using a hanger. 

If you are a customer within USA or Canada, postage generally takes 7-10 business days after payment and processing. Please allow extra time for International delivery and custom- made wigs. You will receive an email when your order has been shipped.

Essence of beauty ships from Canada, so, if you are ordering to a Canadian address you will not be charged duties and taxes. If you are ordering from outside of Canada, please refer to your government guidelines on imports from Canada. Essence of beauty is not responsible for duty and taxes for international orders.

Treat your Essence of Beauty hair as you would treat your own hair. We recommend sticking to good quality products formulated for dry and damaged hair, as they will keep the strands healthy and moisturized. We strongly advise to avoid products containing protein, sulfate/sulphate, silicone, or any other harsh ingredients, which will strip the extensions or break down the bonds.

Unless otherwise stated all Essence of Beauty CA hair is in its natural colour (Black). We would be glad to colour any hair purchased from us at an additional cost, depending on the length, and amount of hair that needs to be coloured.
